MARY’S POND
After living in an antique farmhouse for many years, the owners of this project carved off an adjacent lot to build this new home. The historic style and golden yellow buildings in this family compound dictated the style and color of the new home. The building orientation was informed by the adjacent horse barn, the stone walls surrounding property, varied topography, and south facing pastures at the rear of the lot. The building design takes advantage of a back yard walkout to maximize interior / exterior connections and daylighting. The clients’ unique skills and focus on this project yielded an especially rewarding collaboration between owners, design team, and contractors.
