Kittansett Club

Embracing the focus on indoor/outdoor spaces reinforced during the COVID pandemic, The Kittansett Club, located in Marion, MA, asked us to design a series of new three-season spaces to enhance the club’s hospitality options. At the center of the design is an outdoor bar which has become a hub for post-golf gathering and casual connection. The bar is flanked by two semi-permanent tent-like structures allowing protected al fresco dining for casual lunches and fine dining in the evening. A critical part of the design was emphasizing the amazing views of Buzzards Bay and the golf course while minimizing the impact of the parking area, located adjacent to the structure along the shorefront. Importantly, the heated tents are easily removed during the winter months and for any major weather events, while the bar features weather-proof accordion doors to offer security after hours during the summer season.
