BEVERLY YACHT CLUB
Hired to re-design the Beverly Yacht Club bar, Saltonstall Architects expanded the bar footprint and located it between the club interior and adjacent screen porch. A highlight of the design is a folding glazed wall system that provides thermal enclosure and security to the interior when the bar is closed, while providing sweeping views and natural light. The design of the mahogany millwork was informed by the clubhouse historic wood paneling and traditional yacht detailing. The new layout was developed to maximize efficiency for the staff and allow for expedited bar and food service. Saltonstall Architects also redesigned the layout of the adjacent commercial kitchen.
