Beach Cottage

During Covid, our client engaged us to do a major renovation and addition to their summer home to create a family compound where three generations could meet and spend time together.

During the design process, the family purchased a beach cottage down the street and asked us to help them renovate it as a relaxing getaway space for guests. We secured a special permit to add more deck space to the tiny cottage to add a larger outdoor gathering space. A “boat barn” was added to replace an old shed, which allowed us to create a nice outdoor patio and grilling space enclosed within a picket fence to delineate the property from a public pathway to the beach.

Our client’s daughter, Stephanie King, an interior designer, took care of the interior décor, creating bright and inviting spaces for the whole family to enjoy.
