Saltonstall Architects worked with Dedee Shattuck to bring her long held dream to open an art gallery to fruition. Dedee has had a lifelong passion for art and the gallery and its setting provide a place to explore a wide variety of vital art ideas created by international, national, regional and emerging artists.

Saltonstall Architects designed the gallery to have minimal impact on the site and integrated materials and systems that enable the building to have minimal impact on the environment. This was very important to Dedee; she has long been committed to land conservation and environmental issues.

The exterior design of the building reflects the simplicity and timeless quality of a Quaker Meeting House. A contemporary interior design provides an ideal canvas to display art exhibitions.
